My name is KG and I am volunteering with United Way of King County on their free tax preparation program. This program helps families get their Earned Income Tax Credit back from the 2020 tax season which could help them immensely. All of our volunteers are advanced tax certified and our services are offered in multiple languages to be accessible to many people. This year, we will be almost 100% online this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The program is free of charge and we believe it could benefit many people who attend your church.
Our website and some flyers may say we start preparing sometime in January, however, we will begin the preparation services on February 8th due to the delayed start of this year’s tax season. If you would be willing to help with outreach, we have both physical and digital flyers that need to be distributed to the community.
