How is everyone doing following the snow? On February 10th we experienced the first “snow day cancellation of worship” that we’ve had since I began serving here as pastor. Having spent a decade in Minnesota during my college days, it actually didn’t seem like such a terrible blizzard – and yet, with all our hills and lack of snow plows here in Seattle – it did bring us to a halt for a few days. But here’s the good news – Spring is on its way!
- JCC Annual Meeting – Thank you to all who were able to attend and participate in our church annual meeting which was held following the worship service on February 3rd. There were many encouraging reports of God working among us…. as well as recognizing the continuing reality of what it means to minister as an aging and declining (in numbers and strength) congregation. We praise God for 2018 and look forward to guidance and “Holy Spirit help” during this new, but quickly moving, 2019!
- Discussion concerning JCC’s older building – this will continue to be a major topic as we move forward. We’ll keep you informed as the board makes decisions. For now, thank you for praying about this important safety and ministry issue.
- Church Yard Clean-Up Day scheduled for March 16 – grab your work gloves and tools and come join us on Saturday, March 16th at 9:00 a.m. for a couple hours of clean up around the church!
